When you're broken

  1. You have to fake smiles in front of your friends because you don’t want to be a problem for them.
  2. You lock yourself up in your room and barely talk to anyone because there’s just nothing much to talk about anymore, nothing no longer interests you.
  3. You drown yourself in depressing music that makes you think about what’s wrong, and you know you shouldn’t be listening to it but you can’t stop.
  4. Silence becomes your worst enemy because it makes you think too much about anything, small things what wouldn’t have bothered you before, and big things that will just repeat in your mind over and over.
  5. You lie and say you’re fine and use the excuse of “I’m just tired, that’s all” and what’s worse is no one sees through it.
  6. You barely have motivation to do anything. Skipping school, Skipping work, Skipping outings with family and friends.
  7. You hide how you’re feeling when you’re out, and wait for everyone to go to sleep for you to cry.
  8. You can’t sleep because there’s too much going on in your head, or sleeping will be the thing you do most.
